Memorial services for Marilyn Carter-Royse, 53, of Canadian, TX, will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at The River Ministries in Canadian, TX with Donald Hill, officiating. Cremation is under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mrs. Royse passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2011. Marilyn was born November 5, 1957 to the late Mr. L.D. Carter and Mrs. Mary Ruth (Burgen) Carter. She attended schools in Texoma and Guymon, OK. She then went on and attended the University of Oklahoma. She received her LVN license at Burns Flat, OK. She married Paul Royse on August 17, 1999 in Canadian, TX. She worked as a LVN in Canadian and was a member of The River Ministries. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Clara Webb. She is survived by her husband, Paul Royse of Canadian, TX; two sons, Martin Webb and wife Jossie of Amarillo, TX; Ryan Royse of Canadian, TX; three daughters, Charlotte Royse of Canadian, TX; Sue Ellen Royse of Canyon, TX; Summer Kirkhart of Seiling, OK; four brothers, Luther Carter and wife April of Amarillo, TX; David Carter and wife Dayle of Chetopa, KS; Tim Carter and wife Rose of Guymon, OK; Roy Carter and wife Sylvia of Quinton, OK; one sister, Carol Royse and husband Dale of Amarillo, TX; seven grandchildren, Abel and Annabell Webb both of Amarillo, TX; Isaiah and Adrian Moreno both of Canadian, TX; Page and Tori Kirkhart and Emma Poole all of Seiling, OK and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be made to The River Ministries, 221 Main St., Canadian, TX 79014.
