Services for Lillian Russell, 47, of Canadian, TX, will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church with Donald Hill, officiating. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mrs. Russell passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2011 in Amarillo, TX. Lillian was born September 30, 1963 in Canadian, TX to Mrs. Ruby Gibson Thompson and the late Mr. Leo Thompson. She was a 1982 graduate of Canadian High School. She also attended a technical college in Amarillo, TX. She married Bill Russell on August 8, 2009 in Canadian, TX. Lillian was a lifelong resident of Canadian and she also worked as a waitress at the Cattle Exchange Steak House. She is survived by her husband, Bill Russell of Canadian, TX; one son, Travis Renfro of Canadian, TX; two daughters, Tamara Renfro and Renee Hill both of Canadian, TX; her mother, Ruby Thompson of Canadian, TX; one brother, Glenn Thompson of Amarillo, TX; two sisters, Tonja Weatherholt of Amarillo, TX; Melissa Hastings of Canadian, TX; 12 grandchildren, Tristan Hill, Trinity Hill, Tracy Hill, Megan Gilmer, Madison Gilmer, Mason Gilmer, Andrew Renfro, Mackenzie Gilmer, Carlie Renfro, Taylor Hill, Landon Renfro and Taven Renfro all of Canadian, TX; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family suggests memorials to the Lone Star Angel Project, P.O. Box 303, Canadian, TX 79014. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 27, 2001 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hughs Funeral Home, 203 South 3rd St., Canadian, TX 79014.
