Lucy Lugo Jaimez Canadian: (Special) - Rosary services for Lucy Lugo Jaimez, 47, of Canadian, Texas will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 26, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Juan C. Barragan, Officiating. Burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mrs. Jaimez passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2007 in Amarillo, Texas. She was born on December 4, 1959 in Paducah, Texas to Mr. Santana M. Lugo Sr. and Mrs. Marie Juarez Sanchez. She graduated from Beaver High School in Beaver, Oklahoma. She married Benjamin Jaimez in September 1981 in Bastrop, Texas. He preceded her in death on July 14, 1986. They moved to Canadian, TX in 1982 from Smithville, TX. Lucy worked as a nursing assistant, a certified welder, and she also worked some time at the Canadian Cleaners. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Lucy was preceded in death by her one brother Santana Lugo Jr. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Marie and Ray Sanchez of Abilene, Texas; her father Santana Lugo Sr. of Childress, Texas; two daughters, Inez Marie Jaimez of Abilene, Texas; Lucinda Jaimez of Milton, Florida; one brother, Frank Lugo of Perryton, Texas; two half-brothers, Michael and Ronnie Lugo, both of Austin, Texas; one sister, Susan Lugo Vasquez of Canadian, Texas; two half-sisters, Mary Lou Lugo of Austin, Texas and Emily Lou Lugo of Childress, Texas; five grandchildren, Mya White, Ebony Creemur and Janeé Creemur, all of Milton, Florida and Benjamin and Julia Vincent, both of Abilene, Texas; four nephews and one niece, Christopher Jimenez of Elk City, Oklahoma; Reymundo Vasquez Jr., Patrick Vasquez, Dominick Vasquez and Cynthia Vasquez, all of Canadian, Texas; four great nieces and one great nephew, Alexis, Victoria, and Jaxtyn Valenzuela, all of Canadian, Texas; Valerie Vasquez of Canadian, Texas and Marissa Jade Jimenez of Elk City, Oklahoma. The body will lie in state at Sacred Heart Catholic Church until service time.
