Services for Lola Willmoth Swires, 80, of Pampa, TX, will be at 3:00 P.M. Monday, June 18, 2011 at Central Baptist Church in Canadian, TX with Pastor Paul L. Nachtigall, officiating and Pastor Steven Swires, assisting. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian, TX under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Lola passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011 in Pampa, TX. Lola was born March 22, 1931 in the Gem City Community to the late Mr. Hunter Willmoth and Mrs. Ester (Bailey) Willmoth. She was a 1947 graduate of Canadian High School and attended Amarillo Junior College. She married Allen Swires on April 30, 1949 in Amarillo, TX. She was a member of the Wapato Bible Baptist Church and a homemaker. They moved to Pampa, TX in 2011 from Yakima, WA. She is preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. She is survived by her husband, Allen Swires of Pampa, TX; four sons, Danny Swires and wife Kathy of Cincinnati, PA; Steven Swires and wife Elizabeth of Ft. Defiance, AZ; Phillip Swires and wife Chris of Anchorage, AK; Robert Swires of Yakima, WA; 7 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to Central Baptist Church, 108 6th St., Canadian, TX.
