Daniel Koepke

Services for Mr. Daniel L. Koepke, 74, of Lakeview, TX will be at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the Church of Christ with Tom Anderson, officiating and Mark Lance, assisting. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, TX under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, TX. Daniel passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011 in Memphis, TX. Daniel was born September 29, 1936 in Denver, CO to the late Mr. Lewis Koepke and Mrs. Creola (Barta) Koepke. He was a graduate of Deer Trail High School. He married Norma Jean Kontour on August 10, 1958 in Deer Trail, CO. She preceded him in death on October 18, 2006. Daniel worked as a master welder and served on the Volunteer Fire Department in Deer Trail. He also served as a deacon at the First Baptist Church in Deer Trail. He moved to Memphis in 2003 from Deer Trail. Daniel was a member of the Church of Christ in Memphis. He is survived by two sons, Glenn Koepke and wife Leslie of Dameron Valley, UT; Wade Koepke and wife Lisa of Lakeview, TX; one daughter, Leann Voyles and husband Bruce of Vega, TX; two brothers, Jerry Koepke and wife Betty of Ashby, NE; Rod Koepke and wife Kathleen of Matheson, CO; 8 grandchildren, Kurtis Koepke and wife Becki, Bradley Koepke and wife Ashley, Susan Session and husband Jared, Walt Koepke, Luke Koepke, Wyatt Voyles, Ben Koepke and Walker Voyles; two great grandchildren; Bryson Session and Braylee Koepke. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 29, 2011 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at Hughs Funeral Home, 514 N 10th St., Memphis, TX 79245. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Church of Christ Benevolence Fund, 1625 N 18th St., Memphis, TX 79245.
