Mary Stotts

Graveside services for Mary Sue Stotts, 95, of Memphis, TX will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Rowe Cemetery in Hedley, TX, with Tom Posey, officiating. Burial will be in Rowe Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Stotts passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2007 in Memphis, TX. Mary was born on November 1, 1911 in Meridian, MS to the late Mr. George T. Foster and Mrs. Nettie L. Youngblood Foster. As a small child the family moved to Lamar County, TX. In 1923, the family moved to West Texas and settled in the Giles Community. She was a graduate of Memphis High School. She married Jerry Stotts in 1941 in Childress, TX. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1955. She then moved to Memphis where she was a member of the First Christian Church and the Senior Citizens Association. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nelda Sue Cope, four brothers and one sister. She is survived by two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family suggests memorials be made to First Christian Church, 914 W. Main, Memphis, TX 79245.
