Graveside services for Eddie Forbau, 92, of Higgins, TX, will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at Higgins Cemetery with Rev. Clifford Baze, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mr. Forbau passed away Sunday, July 15, 2007 in Canadian, TX. Eddie was born on June 26, 1915 in Higgins, TX to the late Mr. Fred Forbau and Mrs. Karolina Betke Forbau. He attended school in Higgins, TX. He married Lena Karbs on December 2, 1938 in Higgins, TX. He was a Farmer and Rancher all of his life and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Lena Forbau of Higgins, TX; three sons, Darrel Forbau of Okeene, OK; Terry Forbau of Higgins, TX; Gordon Forbau of Houston, TX; four daughters, Janice Townsend and husband James of Rushsprings, OK; LaDonna Morrow and husband Eddie Bob of Darrouzett, TX; JaNelle Sutton and husband Jerry of Elk City, OK; Edwadine Forbau of Nixa, MO; one brother, Bud Forbau and wife Tina of Decatur, TX; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be made to Hemphill County Hospice, 1020 South 4th St., Canadian, TX 789014.
