George was born February 25, 1933 in Chicago, IL to the late Mr. Atillio Becci and Mrs. Enrichetta (Vernelli) Becci. He graduated high school in Chicago, IL. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He married Alisha VanOppens on January 28, 1982 in St. Clair Shores, MI. They moved to Memphis, TX in 1983 from St. Clair Shores, MI. He was owner and operator of By Woodcrafts By George. He was also a Catholic He is survived by his wife, Alisha Becci of Memphis, TX; his son, John Brede and fiancé Terry Garner of Houston, TX; his daughter, Denise Wargo of Houston, TX; his granddaughter, Ashley Genin of Houston, TX; his great-grandson, Nathan Genin of Houston, TX; his sister-in-law, Kathleen Morrison and husband Larry of St. Clair Shores, MI; his brother-in-law, Frank VanOppens and wife Patti of St. Clair Shores, MI; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends on Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Hughs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 514 N 10th St., Memphis, TX 79245.
