Rosary services for Evelyn Carr Dickinson, 85, of Canadian, Texas will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Juan C. Barragan, Officiating. Burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mrs. Dickinson passed away Sunday, July 22, 2007 in Canadian, Texas. She was born on February 13, 1922 in Brighton, MA to the late Mr. Francis J. McKee and Mrs. Nora F. Walsh McKee. She graduated from St. Columb Hills Catholic School. She moved to Canadian, TX in 1945 from Brighton, MA. She married Elbie Carr on February 20, 1943 in Brighton, MA. He preceded her in death on December 17, 1972. She then married Roy Dickinson on August 9, 1980 in Canadian, TX. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was also a homemaker. She was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Francis McKee and two grandsons, Mike Satterwhite and Paul Lynn Rux. She is survived by her husband, Roy Dickinson of Canadian, TX; four sons, Robert Carr and wife Julie of Holdenville, OK; Dale Carr, Bud Dickinson and wife Brenda and Bob Dickinson and wife Beverly all of Canadian, TX; four daughters, Tex Satterwhite and husband Don of Higgins, TX; Norene Rux and husband Richard of Archer City, TX; Carol Ann Wilson and husband George of Canadian, TX; Carol Ruth Cannady and husband Dennis of Independence, MO; twenty grandchildren, twenty four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. The family suggests memorials be made to Hemphill County Hospice, 1020 South 4th St., Canadian, TX 79014 or your favorite charity. The body will lie in state at Sacred Heart Catholic Church until service time.
