Travis Taylor

Memorial services for Travis Taylor, 72, of Memphis, TX, will be at 3:00 P.M. Monday, November 28, 2011 at the Red Marble Ministries Church with Rev. Dale Miller, officiating and Jackie Blum and Rev. Dale Sexton, assisting. Inurnment will be at a later date in Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon, TX. Cremation is under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, TX. Mr. Taylor passed away Friday, November 26, 2011 in Memphis, TX. Travis was born July 13, 1939 in Lineville, AL to the late Mr. Tommy Taylor and Mrs. Maggie (Milam) Taylor. He attended schools in Oxford, AL. He married Carol White on February 19, 1962 in Rosenberg, TX. Travis was a chef by trade and later worked in the construction business. He was also a member of the Red Marble Ministries Church. He is preceded in death by his son, Gene Taylor. He is survived by his wife, Carol Taylor of Memphis, TX; one daughter, Patricia Hunt of Shawnee, OK; three sisters, LeAnn, Margaret and Jimmie Lou, nine grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
