Georgia Bowman

Services for Mrs. Georgia Bowman, 92, of Memphis, TX will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 13, 2012 at the Church of Christ with Burl Bumpus, officiating and Mark Lance, assisting. Burial will follow in Hulver Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, TX. Georgia passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 in Memphis, TX. Georgia was born August 13, 1919 in Quanah, TX to the late Mr. Lewis Nichols and Mrs. Zola (Huckabey) Nichols. She was a 1937 graduate of Childress High School. She married Glen Bowman on January 19, 1950 in Hollis, OK. She was a homemaker and lifelong resident of Hall County. She was also a member of the Church of Christ in Estelline, TX and Memphis, TX. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her husband, Glen Bowman of Memphis, TX; two sons, Billy D. Bowman of Lefors, TX; Thomas Tippett and wife Sonia of Newlin, TX; two daughters, Linda Huddleston and Debbie Wiles and husband Gerald all of Memphis, TX; one brother, L.W. Nichols of Childress, TX; two sisters, Irma Custer and Myrl Burchett both of Childress, TX; 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. The family suggest memorials be made to the Hulver Cemetery, Box 7, Estelline, TX 79233.
