Services for Richard Rowton Sr., 56, of Memphis, TX, will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Hughs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dale Sexton, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, TX. Mr. Rowton passed away Friday, January 13, 2012 in Amarillo, TX. Richard was born August 21, 1955 in Ringling, OK to the late Mr. David D. Rowton Sr. and Mrs. Mozella (Davis) Rowton. He attended schools in Memphis, TX. Richard was a farmer in the Muleshoe, TX community for over 30 years. He moved back to Memphis in 2004 from Muleshoe. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, Kenneth and Will H. Rowton He is survived by one son, Richard Van Rowton Jr. of Abilene, TX; three daughters, Loretta Jane, Sheila Ann and Lisa Ann Rowton all of Abilene, TX; two brothers, David D. Rowton Jr. and wife Marisela of El Paso, TX; Johnny Rowton and wife Traci of Clovis, NM; three sisters, Mary Ann Stine and husband Clifford of Sayre, OK; Betty Hodges and husband Robert of Memphis, TX; Brenda Kay Butler and husband David of Corpus Christi, TX; four grandchildren, 5 nephews and 8 nieces.
