Vivian Henwood

Services for Vivian Henwood, 66, of Canadian, Texas, will be at 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 10, 2007 at the Abundant Life Assembly of God with Rev. Justin Coleman, officiating. Burial will follow in the Lipscomb Cemetery in Lipscomb, TX under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, Texas. Mrs. Henwood passed away Friday, September 7, 2007 in Canadian, Texas. Vivian was born June 11, 1941 in Los Angeles, CA to the late Mr. Harry Wheeler and Mrs. Dorothy Scott Wheeler. She was a graduate of Palo Duro High School in Amarillo, TX. She moved to Canadian, TX in 1972 from Amarillo, TX. She married David “Weed” Henwood on May 31, 1975 in Canadian, TX. He preceded her in death on November 4, 2006. She received her registered nursing degree from Amarillo College. She worked for Hemphill County Hospital in Canadian, TX as a registered nurse and later became director of home health hospice before retiring in 2005. She was a member of the Abundant Life Assembly of God. She is survived by one son, Michael Allen Cook of Lipscomb, TX; two daughters, Teri Lynn Cook of Amarillo, TX; Jami Dawn Royval and husband Gilbert of Canadian, TX; two brothers, Scott Wheeler and wife Debbie of Lipscomb, TX; Kent Wheeler of Amarillo, TX; two sisters, Shirley Douglas of Lipscomb, TX; Janet Craig-Dorman and husband Jim of Canadian, TX; five grandchildren, Erinn Nicole Cook, Payton Dawn Suiter, Jacob David Suiter, Riley Nicole Suiter and Taylor Addison Royval. The family suggests memorials to Hemphill County Hospice, 1020 S 4th St., Canadian, TX 79014.
