Services for Mary “Pie” Adamson, 94, of Hedley, TX will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, September 20, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Hedley, TX, with Rev. Ervin Emmert, Officiating. Burial will be in Rowe Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Adamson passed away Saturday, September 15, 2007 in Brookshire, TX. Mary was born on July 25, 1913 in Memphis, TX to the late Mr. William Price Kilpatrick and Mrs. Johnnie Story “Jadie” Wilson Kilpatrick. She was a graduate of Memphis High School and went to graduate from Amarillo Beauty College. She married Ansil Arthur Adamson in March of 1944. He preceded her in death in August of 1985. Mary owned and operated a beauty shop in Hedley, TX for 40 years before retiring. She was preceded in death by one daughter, LaRita Raye Johnson Stone, one brother, William Meryl Kilpatrick, 2 sisters, Irby Odessa Tucker, and Millie Avis Stovall, and one nephew, W. M. Kilpatrick. She is survived by one grandson, Danny Stone and wife June of Katy, TX; one granddaughter, Judy Davis and husband Jerry of Collinsville, TX; 4 great-grandchildren, Jeremy Stone and wife Melissa of Wylie, TX; Jason Stone and wife Amy of Stratford, TX; Aaron Davis and wife Amy of Gainsville, TX; Marcus Davis and wife Sarah of Sherman, TX; 6 great-great grandchildren, Jonah Stone, Miriam Stone, Caleb Stone, Samuel Stone, Karis Davis and Blake Davis, son-in-law, R. L. Stone Of Amarillo, TX; one nephew, Billy Tucker and wife Margaret of Aztec, N.M and one niece, Pauline Kilpatrick of Memphis, TX.
