Jo Pearl Odom

Graveside Services for Jo Pearl Odom, 96, of Tomball, TX, will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 4, 2005 at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, TX, with Tom Posey officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Odom passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2005 in Tomball, TX. She was born on September 28, 1908 in Hubbard, TX to the late W.E. Weatherby and Elizabeth (Bryan) Weatherby. She grew up in Hubbard, TX and graduated from Hubbard High School in 1926, and attended Texas Women's College and TCU. She married James Adrian Odom Jr. on June 26, 1934 in Hubbard, TX. He preceded her in death on August 9, 1996. Mrs. Odom moved to Memphis, TX in 1945, where she taught school for one year. She was a member of First Baptsit Church in Memphis, TX and was a housewife. She moved to Tomball, TX in 1998. She was also preceded in death by four brothers. She is survived by one son, Jim Odom and his wife Donna (Beckham) Odom of Houston, TX; one daughter, Jo Ann Odom of Denver, CO; 2 granddaughters, Jill Critchfield of Houston, TX and Jennifer Googe of Oklahoma City, OK; three great grandchildren; and one brother, Bill Weatherby, of Hubbard, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requsts memorials be made to the Fairview Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 265, Memphis, TX 79245.
