Services for Ronald Cole, 70, of Sachse, TX will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Eller Flat Prairie Dell Cemetery in Hemphill County with Matt Cook, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Ronald passed away Friday, August 3, 2012 in Sachse, TX. Ronald was born September 3, 1941 in Shattuck, OK to the late Mr. Lloyd Cole and Mrs. Clara (Freeman) Cole. He was a 1959 graduate of Canadian High School and received a BBS degree in agriculture from the University of Oklahoma in 1963. While in college he was a member of the NRA and was a National Champion on the OSU Air Force ROTC. He married Anna Williams on November 8, 1978 in Oklahoma. Ronald has had his appraisal license for the past 43 years where he has worked in the commercial and residential areas. He was senior appraiser for New York Life for 10 years. He later started his own appraisal firm which was called Ron Cole & Associates. Ronald loved poetry and later published a book named When Twilights Stills the Land. He is survived by his wife, Anna Cole of Sachse, TX; two step-sons, Gregory Witt of Sherman, TX; Kurt Witt of Dallas, TX; two step-daughters, Starla Witt of Lewisville, TX; Susan Martin of Arizona; one brother, Glen Bill Walker of Canadian, TX; two sisters, JoAnn Easden of Illinois; Zelda Pendergrass of Amarillo, TX and 5 step-grandchildren.
