Graveside services for Mr. Dennis T. Brundige, 83, of Memphis, TX, will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Detroit Cemetery in Detroit, TX with Rev. Charles Scarborough, Officiating. Burial will follow in Detroit Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mr. Brundige passed away Saturday, October 20, 2007 in Childress, TX. Dennis was born on October 20, 1924 in Deport, TX to the late Mr. Wilie Brundige and Mrs. Leona Watts Brundige. He moved to Memphis, TX in 1956 from Detroit, TX. He married Neita Reed on August 23, 1985 in Clarendon, TX. He was a farmer and worked for the Water Department for the City of Detroit, TX until retiring in 2003. He was also a member of the Assembly of God in Detroit, TX. He was preceded in death by two half brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Neita Brundige of Memphis, TX; two sons, Dobber Brundige and wife Debi of Eustace, TX; Cub Brundige and wife Sarah of Georgetown, TX; three daughters, Sue Watson and husband Sammy of Lakeview, TX; Carol Tarrant and husband David of Memphis, TX; Susan Abshire and husband Scott of Lake Forrest, NC; one sister Eva Mackey of Paris, TX; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
