Services for Mrs. Jessie Dixon, 73, of Memphis, TX will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Travis Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Bryant, officiating and Rev. Johnnie Snider, assisting. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Dixon passed away Saturday, December 1, 2007 in Amarillo, TX. Jessie was born on June 1, 1934 in Thalia, TX to the late Mr. Othar Benjamin Hammonds and Mrs. Callie Pearl Hayes Hammonds. She grew up in Memphis, where she attended high school. She married E.L. “Buck” Dixon on February 1, 1953 in Clovis, NM. Jessie was a homemaker and a member of Travis Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a granddaughter. She is survived by her husband, E.L. “Buck” Dixon of Memphis, TX; one son, Randy Dixon and wife Melody of Borger, TX; one daughter, Darlis Cooper and Tony Echavarria of Borger, TX; one brother, Hayes Hammonds of Caddo, OK; four sisters, Jimmie Kelly and Jean Stinnett both of Mead, OK; Nancy Wolfgang of Mesquite, TX; Margie DePriest of Bowie, TX; five grandchildren, Mikiel Cooper of Houston, TX; Billy Cooper and Brandi Cooper both of Stinnett, TX; Derrick Dixon of Borger, TX; Delana Dixon of Oklahoma City, OK; four great-grandchildren, Mikela Cooper of Grove, OK; Mackenzie, MaKya and Kalie Cooper all of Stinnett, TX.
