Rosary services for Jesus Martinez, 61, of Canadian, TX will be at 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 1, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Bala Showreddy, Officiating. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mr. Martinez passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012 in Canadian, TX. Jesus was born July 17, 1951 in Chalchihuites Zacatecas, Mexico to the late Mr. Jesus Martinez and Mrs. Felicitas Rivas. He married Maria Guadalupe on September 22, 1973 in Chalchihuites Zacatecas, Mexico. They moved to Canadian in January of 2012 from California. Jesus worked as a painter for Superior Fabrication. He was also a member of Sacred heart Catholic Church. Jesus is survived by his wife, Maria Martinez of Canadian, TX; four sons, Jose Luis Martinez of Denver, CO; Alfredo Martinez of Canadian, TX; Jesus Javier Martinez of Denver, CO; Sergio Martinez of Canadian, TX; one daughter, Maria Guadalupe of Canadian, TX and 6 grandchildren.
