Anna Henwood Shore Canadian: (Special) - Services for Anna Henwood Shore, 90, of Canadian, TX will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at the First Christian Church with Matt Cook, officiating. Burial will be in Heart Cemetery in Booker, TX under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mrs. Shore died Saturday, August 20, 2005 in Canadian, TX. She was born on April 2, 1915 in Beaver County, OK to the late Mr. William Young and Mrs. Clara Keivel Young. She attended schools in Booker, TX. She married Dean Ernest Henwood on June 14, 1937 in Clovis, NM. He preceded her in death on September 29, 1964. She then married Marion K. Shore on March 6, 1976 in Canadian, TX. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1992. She moved to Canadian, TX in 1941 from Lipscomb County. She then moved to El Reno, OK and then to Booker, TX and back to Canadian, TX in 1996. Anna was a waitress and a housewife. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Booker, TX and a member of the First Christian Church in Canadian, TX. She was preceded in death by one son, Frankie Lawrence Parks, one brother and six sisters. She is survived by three sons, Franklin Henwood and wife Gwen of Amarillo, TX; David Henwood and wife Vivian of Canadian, TX; Jerry Henwood and wife Helen of Kerrville, TX; two sisters, Edith Bellah and Elva Collins both of Corpus Christi, TX; 10 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. The family suggest memorials be to the Hemphill County Hospice, 1020 S 4th, Canadian, TX 79014.
