Services for Leila Ross Guffey, 71, of Georgetown, TX will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the The River Ministries with Donald Hill. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian, TX under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Leila Ross passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 in Round Rock, TX. Leila Ross was born November 22, 1940 in Canadian, TX to the late Mr. Dick Barton and Mrs. Cleo (Tipps) Barton. She attended grammar school at Prairie View and later attended Perryton High School. She married Warren S. “Lefty” Clement on February 16, 1957 in Clayton, NM. They had two daughters Janette and Decata. Lefty passed away October 25, 1972. Leila Ross later married Les Guffey in July of 1982 in Canadian, TX. He passed away in December of 1993. Leila Ross had many activities including going to rodeos with her daughters. She also had many road trips to rodeos with Cathy and Felicia and one of her many highlights was by going to the NFR with Felicia. She loved to spend hours sewing for her family. Her biggest love was her grandkids and great-grandkids. She had a small family, but a host of friends that was her extended family. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dick H. Barton. She is survived by two daughters, Janette Davis and husband Bobby of Elk City, OK; Decata Isbell and husband Alan of Florence, TX; three grandchildren, Zach Isbell and wife Ashley of Georgetown, TX; Constance Holmes and husband Dusty of Salado, TX; Barton Isbell of Florence, TX; 5 great-grandchildren, Riley and Tatum Isbell both of Georgetown, TX; Haley and Mitch Holmes both of Salado, TX; Claire Lankford of Vacaville, CA; her nephew, Richard Barton of Frisco, TX; her niece, Riley Webb Barton Rood of Carrolton, TX and her sister-in-law, Ester Bockman of Wellington, TX. The family suggests memorials to The River Ministries, 221 Main St., Canadian, TX 79014.
