Services for Kathryn Yarnold, 91, of Canadian, TX will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Schafer, officiating and Rev. Danny Sanders, assisting. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Kathryn passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 in Canadian, TX. Kathryn was born September 27, 1921 in Woodward, OK to the late Mr. Charles Sprague and Mrs. Blanche (Robertson) Sprague. She was a 1938 graduate of Canadian High School. She married Howard Yarnold on December 26, 1938 in Arapaho, OK. He preceded her in death on June 9, 2009. She was a lifelong resident of Canadian, TX and a homemaker. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Sprague and three sisters, Lavarre Wright, Shirley Dean and Carol Williams, her son-in-law, Gene Stock and her granddaughter-in-law, Elizabeth Schafer. She is survived by two sons, Charles Yarnold and wife Estelle of Alvarado, TX; Keith Yarnold and wife Debbie of Canadian, TX; two daughters, Glenna Schafer and husband Lynard of Canadian, TX; Judy Stock of San Antonio, TX; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the Edward Abraham Memorial Home, 803 Birch, Canadian, TX 79014.
