Services for Mary Ann Ash, 83, of Canadian, TX will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Hughs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Matt Cook, officiating. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mary Ann passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 in Conroe, TX. Mary Ann was born March 3, 1929 in Beaver, KS to the late Mr. Joseph Courange and Mrs. Margaret (Demel) Courange. She attended schools in Hoisington, KS. She married O.T. Ash on February 24, 1958 in Durango, CO. He preceded her in death on January 15, 1997. She worked for the Canadian Dry Cleaning and the Edward Abraham Memorial Home. She was also a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her son, Steve Ash and several other brothers and sisters. She is survived by two sons, Craig Ash and wife Robin of Conroe, TX; Jim Ash and wife Jan of The Woodlands, TX; two brothers, Eugene Courange of Kansas; Jim Courange of Great Bend, KS; 5 sisters, Helen Klien, Teresa Hall, Kay Munoz, Norma Seyfert and Joann Torres all of Great Bend, KS; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to Hemphill County Hospice, 1020 South 4th St., Canadian, TX 79014.
