Graveside services for Mrs. Darlene Lambert Brandes, 72, of Canyon, TX, will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at Fairview Cemetery Chapel in Memphis, TX with Brother Ronnie Lambert, Officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Brandes passed away Friday, February 15, 2008 in Canyon, TX. Darlene was born on October 3, 1935 in Memphis, TX to the late Mr. Hugh Lambert and Mrs. Ethel Mae Vaughn Lambert. She attended schools in Memphis, TX. She married Wes Brandes on August 25, 1979 in Amarillo, TX. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1999. She moved to Canyon, TX in 2006 from Amarillo, TX. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She is survived by one daughter, Darlia Brehm of Canyon, TX; one brother, Porter Lambert of Memphis, TX; five siters, VonaJoyce Young of Sulphur Springs, TX; Hudene Castagnetta of Amarillo, TX; Mirna Loy Evins of Livingston, TX; Barbara Seiber of Azle, TX; Gloria Williams of Coalgate, OK; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
