Beverley Whitten

Livingston, TX -- Graveside Services for Beverley Whitten, 65, of Livingston, TX, formerly of Memphis, TX, will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 1, 2005 at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, TX, with Tom Posey officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Whitten passed away on Friday, September 23, 2005 in Livingston, TX. She was born on November 14, 1939 in New York City, NY to the late William Bowerman and Dorothy (Dunbar) Bowerman. She married Raymond Whitten in January of 1957. Mrs. Whitten was the former Executive Director for the Livingston Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Livingston. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Brad Whitten, in 1996. She is survived by her husband, Raymond; one daughter, Brakelle Purnell of McKinney, TX; one son, Brock Whitten of Midland, TX; three brothers, Mike Hodge of McKinney, TX; and Nance Hodge and Vance Hodge, both of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren; and her step-father, H.J. Hodge of Gainesville, TX.
