Nita Helm

Memphis, TX – Funeral services for Nita Helm, 92, of Memphis, TX, will be at 12:30 P.M. Monday, June 10, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church in Memphis with Rev. Robert Blum officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery under the personal care of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, TX. Nita Helm was born on January 19, 1921, in Memphis, TX, to Lawrence Paul Blevins and Ollie Jane (Johnson) Blevins. She passed away on Friday, June 7, 2013, in Amarillo, TX. Nita graduated from Memphis High School. She married George Francis Helm on April 16, 1942, in Amarillo, TX. He passed away on April 21, 2001. Nita was a member of First United Methodist Church in Memphis. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and everyone knew her as “Nana”. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother, Melvin Blevins. She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Naylor of Memphis, TX, her grandson, Matt Naylor & wife Stephanie of Austin, her great grandchildren, Cash & Mac Naylor and many nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church or a favorite charity.
