David Jesse Hostutler

Services for David Jesse Hostutler, 93, of Higgins, TX will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2013 at the Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Wes Harper, officiating and Richard Royal, assisting. Burial will follow in Higgins Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. David passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 in Canadian, TX. David was born August 8, 1919 on the family farm North West of Higgins to the late Mr. Jesse Hostutler and Mrs. Mary (Townsdin) Hostutler. He was a 1938 graduate of Higgins High School. He married Lorene Laubhan on October 21, 1944 in Pampa, TX. She preceded him in death on May 5, 2009. David was a member of the Church of the Nazarene where he was very faithful. He was a farmer and a rancher and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by three brothers, four sisters, six nieces and four nephews. He is survived by his brother, Asa Hostutler of McKinney, TX and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hughs Funeral Home, 203 South 3rd St., Canadian, TX.
