Services for Russell Lloyd Fry, 84, of Lipscomb, TX will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Hughs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Gary Jahnel, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery in Follett, TX under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX.Lloyd passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 in Canadian, TX.Lloyd was born March 5, 1930 in Follett, TX to the late Mr. James Fry and Mrs. Ida Belle (Bailey) Fry. He was a 1948 graduate of Follett High School. He also attended Draughons Business College in Amarillo, TX. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He married Mary Gail (Haines) on December 23, 1949 at St. John’s Congregational Church southwest of Follett. She preceded him in death on November 29, 2008. Lloyd was the Justice of the Peace for Lipscomb County for 20 plus years. He was also a rancher. He was preceded in death by his son, Jim Fry on December 27, 2013 and his brother, James Fry. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Jines of Canadian, TX; his grandchildren, Jessica Russell and husband Justin and Katie Cummins all of Canadian, TX; his great-grandchildren, Taylor and Loclynne Russell both of Canadian, TX.
