Services for Emily Elizabeth Purcell, 6, of Canadian, TX will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the River Ministries Church with Donald Hill, officiating and Mac Purcell, assisting. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian, TX under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Emily was met by her Lord and Savior on June 23, 2014 waiting on her was her great-grandparents, Faustino and Sarah Medrano, Nadyne Smith and June Cheetham; her great-great-grandmother, Mary Aileen Dennison; her Poncho and aunt Bobbie Purcell and her great-great-cousin, Sarah Dennison. Emily was born July 4, 2007 in Shattuck, OK to Jacob Purcell and Crystal (Medrano) Purcell. Emily had just completed 1st grade at Canadian Elementary School. She loved to ride horses play dress up three or four times a day. But no matter what she was doing she always made sure she had her boots on. She was preceded in death by her aunt, Marquita Jo Medrano. She is survived by her parents, Jacob and Crystal Purcell of Canadian, TX; her brothers, Ryan and Hudson Purcell both of Canadian, TX; her grandparents, Ed and Jean Purcell of Canadian, TX; Patricia Kester of Arnett, OK; Raymon Medrano of Woodward, OK; her step grandfather, Poppy Cliff Kester of Arnett, OK; and step grandmother, Meme Chelle Medrano of Woodward, OK; her great-grandmother, Janet Mann of Arnett, OK; her uncles, Montana Medrano of Woodward, OK; Will Purcell, Dallas Purcell and wife Kaitlyn and Elbie Wilson all of Canadian, TX; her cousins, Summar and Skylar Wilson both of Canadian, TX; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
