Services for Kelly Ethel Bridges, 87, of Memphis, TX will be at 2:00 PM Monday, September 29, 2008 at Red Marble Ministries Church with Rev. Dale Sexton, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Bridges passed away on Friday, September 26, 2008 in Childress, TX. Kelly was born on March 14, 1921 in Windy Valley, TX to the late Mr. J.C. Bramlett and Mrs. Sallie (Holman) Bramlett. She attended schools in Hedley, TX. She married Jessie Willard Bridges on December 20, 1938 in Clarendon, TX. He preceded her in death on February 22, 1992. She was a homemaker and a cook at Orvilla’s Daycare for a number of years. She moved to Memphis in 1995 from Donley County. She was a member of Travis Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one son, Jacky Bridges on December 15, 1992, one brother, Delmer Bramlett and one sister, Thelma Dill. She is survived by two sons, Donnie Bridges and wife Janet of Memphis, TX; Tom Bridges and wife Diane of Levelland, TX; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
