Graveside services for Mr. R.B. Willyard, 72, of Higgins, TX will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 21, 2008 at Higgins Cemetery with Gordon Lawson, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mr. Willyard passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in Higgins, Texas. R.B. was born September 30, 1936 in Higgins, TX to the late Mr. Jack Willyard and Mrs. Bessie (Howard) Willyard. He attended schools in Higgins, TX. He married Mary Sue Thomas on September 16, 1961 in Amarillo, TX. R.B. served as past school board member in Higgins for a number of years. He was owner and operator of RB’S used cars. He was preceded in death by one sister, Joy Howard. He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Willyard of Higgins, TX; one daughter, Patty Willyard of Amarillo, TX; four brothers, J.B. Willyard of Puyallup, WA; J.C. Willyard of Arnett, OK; J.R. Willyard of Fort Worth, TX; B.J. Willyard of Higgins, TX; four sisters, Wanda Summers of Hearst, TX; Peggy Thomas and husband Otis of Arnett, OK; Linda Pralle and husband Steve of Perryton, TX; Brenda Callahan and husband Obie of Higgins, TX; a nephew, Dutch Mulkey and wife Genny of Higgins, TX; a brother-in-law, Charlie Summers of Fort Worth, TX. The family suggest memorials be made to Hemphill County Hospice, 1020 S. 4th, Canadian, TX 79014 or BSA Hospice, 600 N Tyler St., Amarillo, TX 79107.
