Graveside Services for Margaret Sue Ward, age 62 of Memphis, Texas, will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at Rowe Cemetery in Hedley, Texas, with Rev. Daniel Downey, Pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Ward passed away on Monday, January 12, 2009 in Amarillo, Texas. She was born on December 17, 1946 in Mulberry, Arkansas to the late Columbus and Emma (Williams) Cowan. She married Gerald Ward on February 27, 2001 in Childress, Texas, and they made their home in Memphis. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Memphis. She is survived by her husband, Gerald; one son, Lonnie Bennett; one son-in-law, Michael Collett; five daughters, Barbara Collett, Gay Lynn Bennett, Charlotte Oldaker, Debra Neidecker-Webb and Connie Waldroupe – Smith; seventeen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers, Vernon Cowan and Jerry Cowan; and one sister, Margie Huggins.
