Services for Myrtle Inez Stephens, 87, of Memphis, TX, formerly of Lefors, TX, will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 27, 2006 at First Baptist Church in Lefors, TX, with Rev. Lewis Ellis officiating, assisted by Rev. Chris Webb. Interment will be at 2:00 on Monday, February 27, 2006 at Rowe Cemetery in Hedley, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Stephens passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2006 in Memphis, TX. She was born on February 18, 1919 in Moyers, OK to the late Mr. John Fenton Skaggs and Mrs. Hattie (Plunkett) Skaggs. She married John William Stephens on October 8, 1938 in Memphis, TX. She was a homemaker. She is survived by two sons, Bobby Stephens and wife Maxine of Lefors, TX and John Lee Stephens and wife Linda of Sparta, TN; one daughter, Carolyn Mann and husband Carl of Pampa, TX; nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one brother, J.D. Skaggs of Hedley, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Rowe Memorial Cemetery in Hedley, Texas.
