Muriel Ferguson

Muriel Ferguson, 93, of Canadian, TX passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2009 no services are scheduled. Inurnment will be in Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, CA. Cremation is under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. She was born March 29, 1915 in Boise, ID to the late Mr. Guy Healey and Mrs. Sylvia (Pierce) Healey. She graduated from Chico, CA. She married Howard Ferguson on February 27, 1937 in Los Angeles, CA. He preceded her in death on October 30, 1972. She worked for many years as a nurse. She moved to Canadian in 2004 from Los Angeles. She was a member of the American Dental Association and the First Christian Church in Los Angeles. She is survived by one son; Galen Ferguson and wife Carol of Colorado Springs, CO; two daughters, Sandra Gott of Willits, CA; Sheryl Hoover and husband William D. of Canadian, TX; one sister, Gloria Smith of Wellington, NV; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family suggest memorials be made to the Edward Abraham Memorial Home, 803 Birch, Canadian, TX 79014.
