Services for Revis D. Massey, 85, of Canadian, TX will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2006 at the First Christian Church in Canadian, TX with David Massey minister and son, officiating and Matt Cook, assisting. Burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mr. Massey died Wednesday, March 15, 2006 in Canadian, TX. He was born on September 2, 1920 in Love County, OK to the late Mr. Claude Massey and Mrs. Laura Clanahan Massey. He was a 1939 graduate of Canadian High School. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II. He married Betty Hale on January 17, 1953 in Clovis, NM. Revis owned and operated Massey Water Well Drilling Company. He was also a long time faithful member of the First Christian Church, where he served as a Sunday school teacher, deacon and elder until he was no longer able. He is survived by his wife, Betty Massey of Canadian, TX; two sons, Tommy Massey of Canadian, TX; David Massey and wife Mary Beth of Edmond, OK; one daughter, Revis Ann Finol and husband Atilio of Miami, FL; three grandchildren, Josh Massey of Borger, TX; Zachary and Jordan Massey of Edmond, OK. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Isaacs, Dr. Verbi, Dr. Cook, the staff of Hemphill County Hospital, Hemphill County Hospice and Northwest Texas Heart Hospital for their special care for our husband and father during his time of need.
