Jimmy Martin, 68, of Canadian, TX passed away Friday, December 25, 2015 in Canadian, TX. No services are scheduled at this time. Services are under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Jimmy was born December 3, 1947 of Salem, IL to the late Mr. Harry Martin and Mrs. Lethia Griggs. He graduated from Grayville, IL and attended Mount Carmel, IL. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam. He married Elizabeth (Anderson) Martin on December 16, 1971 in Grayville, IL. They moved to Canadian in June of 2010 from Kingman, AZ. Jimmy was head of maintenance at the Quiet Inn Hotel. He was a Mason and a member of Southern Baptist Church in Grayville, IL He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Martin of Canadian, TX; two daughters, Leah McDougall of Canadian, TX; Tara Billone of Woodward, OK; one sister, Mickey Hunter of Florida; seven grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
