Gordon Forbau

Graveside services for Gordon Forbau, 63, of Darrouzett, TX will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2016 at Higgins Cemetery with Rev. Kenny Platte, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Gordon passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016 in Lipscomb County. Gordon was born November 17, 1952 in Canadian, TX to the late Mr. Eddie Forbau and Mrs. Lena (Karbs) Forbau. Gordon attended grammar school in Higgins, TX and graduated high school in Rush Springs, OK in 1971. He then went on to receive a political science degree from Oklahoma State University in 1974. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. Gordon worked as an accountant for different oil companies and also worked for the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Higgins, TX. He moved to Darrouzett, TX in 2009 from Houston, TX. He was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Forbau and his niece, Amy Miller. He is survived by four sisters, LaDonna Morrow of Darrouzett, TX; JaNelle Sutton and husband Jerry of Elk City, OK; Edwadine Forbau of Springfield, MO; Janice Townsend and husband James of Rush Springs, OK; one brother, Darrel Forbau of Okeene, OK; 13 nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials to a Church of your Choice or Veterans Memorial Foundation.
