Rosary services for Praxedis Lopez, 75, of Canadian, TX will be at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Nicholas Gerber, Officiating. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mr. Lopez passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 in Canadian, TX. Praxedis was born January 28, 1941 in Durango, Mexico to the late Mr. Samuel Lopez and Mrs. Refugia (Hernandez) Lopez. He married Carmen Reyes in Durango, Mexico. She preceded him in death on May 4, 2006. He moved to Canadian in 2006. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Praxedis is survived by 5 sons, Javier Lopez of Canadian, TX; Praxedis Lopez of Juarez, Mexico; Inocente Lopez of Wheeler, TX; Jaime Lopez of Las Vegas, NV; Adrian Lopez of Pampa, TX; 6 daughters, Edith Avalos of Canadian, TX; Ma de Los Angeles of Mexico; Dora Marrufo of California; Teresa Lopez of Las Vegas, NV; Rosa-Isela Moreno of Pampa, TX; Norma Gonzalez of Canadian, TX; one brother and five sisters, 36 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
