Juana Nava Martinez, 62, of Canadian, died January 7, 2017 in Canadian. Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Spanish Revival Center in Canadian, with Pastor Jose Contreras of Templo Aposento Alto, Dumas TX, officiating. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian. Juana was born March 30, 1954 in San Vicente, Mexico to Isidoro Martinez and Guadalupe Watanave. She moved to Canadian in 1980 and had been a resident at Edward Abraham Memorial Home since 2007. Juana worked at the Canadian Dry Cleaners and The Cattle Exchange. She enjoyed cross stitch and watching TV. Survivors include four brothers, Abel Martinez and wife Petra of Canadian, Maurilo Martinez and wife Hermelinda Martinez Contreras of San Vicente, Mexico, Eduardo Martinez of San Vicente, Mexico, and Jesus Martinez of San Vicente Mexico; two sisters, Maria Reyes Hernandez and husband Juan Antonio Hernandez Ramirez of San Vicente, Mexico, and Victoria and Juan Antonio Palacios of San Angelo, TX; one nephew, Abel Martinez and wife Maria of Canadian; and five nieces Mary Ann Baca and husband Ezequiel Adriana Flores and Norma Baeza, all of Canadian, Mari Martinez and husband Alvaro of Dallas, and Mariela Briones and husband Federico of San Vicente, Mexico. She was preceded in death by her sister, Maria Angelina Martinez Carrillo and her parents.
