Services for Alecia Stewart, 35, of Memphis, TX, will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Downey, officiating and Dr. O.K. Bowen and Tom Posey, assisting. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, TX. Alecia passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009 in Amarillo, TX. Alecia was born September 21, 1974 in Memphis, TX to Mr. Jim Stewart and Mrs. Judy Edelmon Stewart. She was a 1994 graduate of Memphis High School. She was very active with the American Cancer Society and the Memphis Relay for Life. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was a leader of the Mission Friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Claude and Maudene Edelmon, Robert and Zettie Stewart and her uncle, Martin W. Edelmon. She is survived by her parents, Jim and Judy Stewart of Memphis, TX; three brothers, Brad Stewart and wife Jill of San Angelo, TX; Clay Stewart of Memphis, TX; Doug Stewart of New York, NY; her aunts, Betty and Bobbie Stewart both of Memphis, TX; her niece, Laci Kae Stewart and her nephew, Stetson James Stewart both of San Angelo, TX. The family suggests memorials to the Fellowship Hall Building Fund at First Baptist Church, 121 S. Eighth St., Memphis, TX 79245.
