Mary Wells

Graveside services for Mrs. Mary Wells, 73, of Memphis, TX, were at 4:00 PM Monday, January 11, 2010 at Fairview Cemetery with Larry Haddock, officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Wells passed away Sunday, January 10, 2010 in Amarillo, TX. She was born December 1, 1936 in Portales, NM to the late Mr. Andy Walton and Mrs. Nana Lela (Welty) Walton. She attended schools in Parnell, Turkey and Estelline. She married Pat Wells on June 11, 1955 in Clovis, NM. He preceded her in death on December 14, 1999. Mary worked in the ranching and farming industry for many years. She was a lifelong resident of Memphis, TX and a member of the First Christian Church in Wellington, TX. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Sasser of Memphis, TX; Jackie Spear of Amarillo, TX; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
