Memorial services for Kimberly Kay “Kimmy” Speaks Gschwind, 43, of Memphis, TX will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Hughs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Tom Anderson, officiating. Cremation is under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, TX. Mrs. Gschwind passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2010 in Memphis, TX. Kimmy was born July 20, 1966 in Phoenix, AZ to Mrs. Kathryn Lois (Addison) Speaks and the late Mr. Henry Eugene Speaks. She attended schools in Merkel, TX. She has been a resident of Memphis for the past 3 years. She married German Gschwind on June 3, 2002 in Salt Lake City, UT. Kimmy was a beautiful free spirit person that influenced the many lives that she touched. She was a wonderful wife, loving mother, restless traveler and unconditional friend, frog lover and very protective of those she loved. Her kind heart, fun personality and unmistakable laugh, made her easy to like and hard to forget. She was the best life partner a man could have. Kimmy was dearly loved; her loss will be long grief by all those who had the pleasure of her in our lives. She was a housewife, an avid reader and she loved frogs. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Speaks. She is survived by her husband, German Gschwind of Memphis, TX; two sons, Joshua Washington and Joseph Turner both of Abilene, TX; two daughters, Tatiana Turner and Talitia Turner both of Abilene, TX; her mother, Kathryn Lois (Addison) Speaks of Merkel, TX; her brother Joe Speaks of Merkel, TX; and three grandchildren and many friends and her dog, Indio.
