Graveside services for Mrs. Millie Murphy, 99, of Memphis, TX will be at 2:00 PM Friday, April 16, 2010 at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Daniel Downey, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, TX. Mrs. Murphy passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in Corsicana, TX. Mrs. Murphy was born May 13, 1910. She married Ernest Murphy on December 1, 1928 in Waco, TX. He preceded her in death on September 7, 1982. They moved to Memphis, TX in 1945 from McGregor, TX. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Janice Lockhart and Anita Johnson; five brothers, two sisters and one grandchild, Kim Phipps. She is survived by three grandchildren, Tommy Lockhart of Corsicana, TX; Carolyn Rizzo of Hobbs, NM; Greg Johnson of Seguin, TX and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to a Favorite Charity.
