Graveside services for Mrs. Leila Whitley, 80, of Glazier, TX will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Glazier Cemetery with Wayne Baker, officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian, TX. Mrs. Whitley passed away Monday, August 16, 2010 in Floydada, TX. Leila was born May 19, 1930 in Canadian, TX to the late Mr. Albert Price and Mrs. Georgia (Crawford) Price. She attended school in Canadian, TX. She married J.L. Whitley Jr. on April 6, 1967 in Canadian, TX. He preceded her in death on September 19, 2006. She worked as a waitress and a cook in her early years. She then went to work in the housekeeping department in different nursing homes in the area. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Paul Atteberry. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Atteberry of Floydada, TX; her sister, Pat Mann of Perryton, TX; her granddaughter, Dawn Louise Ryan and husband Greg of Martinsville, TX; three great-grandchildren, Tristan, Jasmine and Brianna Ryan all of Martinsville, TX; her nephews, Alan Ray Mann, Loren Price, Leonard Price, Ray Lee Price and two nieces, Glenna Sue Dotson and Bonnie Gayle Watson.
