Memorial services for Mrs. Nancy Carrington, 71, of Memphis, TX will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Hughs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Tom Posey, officiating. Cremation is under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of Memphis, TX. Mrs. Carrington passed away Saturday, November 27, 2010 in Childress, TX. Nancy was born April 2, 1939 in Hedley, TX to the late Mr. Virgil Stuckey and Mrs. Grace (Crawford) Gardenhire. She was a 1956 graduate of Hedley High School. She moved to Memphis, TX in 2000 from Nashville, TN. Nancy was manager for the Memphis Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the First Christian Church. She is survived by four daughters, Melissa Brooks and husband David of Ashland City, TN; Penny Acker and Connie Turner both of Jacksonville, TX; Debbie Gardner of California; eight grandchildren, including Dallas Brooks of Ashland City, TN; Kathryn Mayer of Germany; and five great-grandchildren.
