Services for Mr. Terry Purdy, 54, of Canadian, TX will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Hughs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Dr. Dean English, officiating. Burial will be in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian, TX under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Canadian, TX. Mr. Purdy passed away Sunday, November 28, 2010 in Canadian, TX. Terry was born March 15, 1956 in Lubbock, TX to the late Mr. Richard Purdy and Mrs. Yvonne (Terry) Purdy. He was a 1974 graduate of Shallowater High School. He married Kathy Harp on June 5, 2002 in Liberal, KS. She preceded him in death on September 10, 2010. Terry has resided in Canadian for the past seven years, where he owned and operated TPC&S for the past three years. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Purdy. He is survived by two sons, Rusty Kendrick and wife Jackie of Fort Worth, TX; Kelly Kendrick of Weatherford, TX; two step-sons, Jason Lee Fawcett of Colwich, KS; Kevin Fawcett of Amarillo, TX; one step-daughter, Iris Thompson of Liberal, KS; one granddaughter, Stephanie Kendrick of Fort Worth, TX; and two step-grandchildren, Kylie Fawcett of Amarillo, TX and Kaitlyn Thompson of Liberal, KS.
