Beatrice I. Morrison

Memphis, TX -- Services for Imogene Morrison, 91, of Memphis, TX, will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Memphis, TX, with Rev. Daniel Downey officiating, assisted by Rev. Gary Boles. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Memphis, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Hughs Funeral Home in Memphis, Texas. Mrs. Morrison passed away on Friday, January 26, 2007 in Memphis, TX. She was born on March 22, 1915 in Nederland, TX to the late Mr. Sam H. Brown and Mrs. Ida (Biffle) Brown. In 1922, she moved from south Texas to Lakeview, TX, where she attended grammar school. She graduated from Memphis High School and married W.C. "Buster" Morrison on June 6, 1936 in Quanah, TX. He preceded her in death on March 20, 1977. Mrs. Morrison enjoyed quilting and traveling. Over the years, she traveled across the United States and toured Europe. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Memphis and was a housewife. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Katie Belle Wells. She is survived by two sons, Gayle Morrison and wife Linda of Memphis, Texas and Gary Morrison and wife Jolene of Hallsville, Texas; five grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Fairview Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 265, Memphis, TX 79245.
