Barbara Jean Morris

Barbara Job Morris, 86, of Canadian, passed away, Wednesday, October 21, 2020 in Canadian.

Private family services will be held Monday, October 26, 2020 at the Carmichael-Whatley Canadian Chapel with Pastor Donald Hill, pastor of The River Ministries, officiating. Burial will follow at Edith Ford Cemeteries under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Jeannie was born to Bill and Wilna Job and moved to Canadian from Buffalo, OK in the 4th grade.  She graduated from Canadian High School.  Jeannie and Johnny were married September 20, 1953 in Woodward, OK.  She worked as a telephone operator for SW Bell telephone Company & over 20 years as a teller for First National Bank.  She & Johnny owned and operated Best Way Grocery.  They were members of the First Christian Church.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Morris; two sons, David Morris and Steve Morris

Her survivors include a daughter, Holli Rackley and husband Harvey of Liberal, Kansas; 5 grandchildren, Eric Morris of Canadian, Nina Morris and  Michael, Cory Morris, all of Denton, Josh Ellison and wife Karissa of Amarillo, and Dustie Batenhorst and husband Brian of Shamrock; 12 great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Hutcheson and husband Gary Bob of Canadian; a sister, Carolyn Wilson of Albuquerque, New Mexico; her caregiver, Jeannita Ellison of Canadian; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
