Bill Henry, 90 of Keller passed away Monday, December 17, 2018 in Keller.

Chapel service will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 29, 2018 at the Carmichael-Whatley Canadian Chapel with Jordan Aguilar, grandson, officiating. Burial will follow at the Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Bill was born December 9, 1928 in Klondike, TX to J.E. and Mary Jane Henry. He graduated High School in 1946 at Memphis High School and graduated West Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. Bill served in the US Army and was stationed in West Germany during the Korean Conflict. On May 28, 1955, Bill married Ruth A. Milom at the Church of Christ in Canadian. Bill worked for Southwestern Public Service for 32 years, he worked and lived in Amarillo, Carlsbad, NM and Artesia, NM. Upon retirement Bill and Ruth moved along with her mother, Oca Milom to Clovis, NM to be closer to their daughter, Melissa, and grandchildren. Ruth preceded him in death on October 11, 2012.

On July 26, 2014, Bill married Peggy Sue Odom, a high school classmate. In 2016 they moved to Raider Ranch in Lubbock, TX. He helped to start a Church of Christ ministry at the Ranch, and lived there until his move to Keller, TX in November 2017. Throughout his life Bill was active in his local Church of Christ, serving as an elder in the Westside Church of Christ in Artesia, NM. He ministered to prisoners and continually shared the story of his Savior Jesus. At the age of 78 he and Ruth helped start the Bread of Life and Matt 25 Ministries in Clovis, NM. He and Ruth devoted their later years to feeding and clothing those in need. Bill was president of Toastmasters in Carlsbad, NM; president of United Fund in Carlsbad; Rotary Board of Directors in Artesia, NM; Coalition for Better Health and helped start the Literary Council in Artesia.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Henry; daughters, Tracy Henry of Keller and Melissa Aguilar of Clovis, NM; stepdaughter, Suzan Stephan; two grandchildren, Jordan Aguilar and Preslee Aguilar; and numerous nieces and nephews

Bill was also preceded in death by his parents and sibling DP Henry, Dee Henry, Mary Katherine Herron, and JC Henry.
