Candy Furgason

Candy Furgason,71, of Canadian passed away Monday, February 27, 2023, at her home in Canadian.

Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, March 3, 2023, at Carmichael-Whatley Canadian Chapel with Josh Reeves, officiating.  Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Candace Corrin Furgason was born April 8, 1951, in Amarillo.  She attended Canadian Schools and graduated with the class of 1969.  Candy was a talented painter and a gifted gardener; she could make a dead flower come alive.  She loved chocolate cake and especially loved being a playful Granny with granddaughter Chancee.  Candy married Doyle Furgason on August 15, 1987; he preceded her in death on August 21, 2017.  They loved going to the beach and spending time in Taos.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Dax Robinett; her parents, JB & Carol Reid; and a brother, Britt Reid.

Survivors include granddaughter, Chancee Robinett of Claude; sister, Lisa Lopez and husband Mike of Ruidoso, NM; nieces, Megan Betts and Tara Reid; nephew, Reid Betts; bonus children, Cody Furgason and wife Tera and Lather Furgason; bonus grandchildren, Kylee and Ian Furgason.
